Under the directives of the University President, Professor Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, a delegation from Fallujah University participated in the launch ceremony of the Major National Literacy Campaign, held on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event was organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Iraq, Engineer Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the National Committee for Supporting Community Awareness and Guidance at the Prime Minister's Office. The campaign was launched under the slogan: "Literacy... Building the Future."
The university delegation, which participated in the ceremony hosted by the College of Media at the University of Baghdad, included Dr. Samira Khattaf Abdul Karim, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department; Dr. Idris Khalil Ibrahim, Head of the Psychological Development Unit; and Assistant Lecturer Nour Najm Abdullah, Head of the Guidance Unit at the College of Applied Sciences.
The campaign aims to raise community awareness about the importance of education as a fundamental tool for building a prosperous society and to promote a culture of lifelong learning. This, in turn, contributes to achieving sustainable development and supports the government's efforts in advancing educational and social progress.
This participation reflects Fallujah University’s commitment to fostering a culture of lifelong learning and actively contributing to the establishment of a knowledge-based society capable of overcoming the challenges of illiteracy and achieving comprehensive development.
