President of the University of Fallujah Heads the University Delegation Participating in the Launch Conference of the Third Edition of the “Study in Iraq” Program
The President of the University of Fallujah, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, headed the university’s delegation participating in the conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to launch the third edition of the “Study in Iraq” program for the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was attended by presidents of Iraqi universities and representatives of UNESCO.
In his speech during the conference, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized that
“The program is part of a series of strategic projects adopted by the Ministry to enhance the university education environment and improve its outcomes.”
“The ‘Study in Iraq’ initiative, which was launched more than two years ago, has evolved into a pioneering program that has attracted thousands of students from various countries.”
Al-Aboudi pointed out that the program reflects the integration of academic reputation, scientific research, reputable publishing, and improvement of the university environment, in line with digital transformation and Iraq’s efforts to gain international accreditation.
The Minister also affirmed that Iraq’s adoption of the Bologna Process and implementation of international standards in university performance has significantly accelerated the path of higher education toward global recognition. This is recently reflected in the country’s efforts to have the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq recognized within the framework of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
For his part, the President of the University of Fallujah, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, reaffirmed during his participation in the conference that the university continues its commitment to developing an advanced educational environment, highlighting the importance of the program in strengthening academic cooperation with international educational institutions.
He added that the university is mobilizing all its resources to provide an outstanding educational environment for international students, contributing to enhancing Iraq’s academic standing globally.
The “Study in Iraq” program aims to strengthen the position of Iraqi universities on the global academic map and attract international students to benefit from the academic programs offered by Iraqi institutions.
