President of the University of Fallujah Receives the Ministerial Committee Overseeing the “Study in Iraq” Program and Reaffirms the University’s Commitment to Providing an Ideal Environment for International Students
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, received in his official office at the university presidency building the ministerial committee tasked with following up on the implementation of the “Study in Iraq” program.
The visit aimed to monitor the status of international students studying at the university, assess their academic and living conditions, and ensure the availability of a supportive educational environment that contributes to the success of their academic journey in Iraq.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President warmly welcomed the members of the committee and commended the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for its efforts in supporting this important academic initiative. He emphasized that the University of Fallujah has, since the program's inception, been dedicated to creating an ideal educational environment that offers international students an outstanding learning experience with all the necessary elements for success.
Dr. Hamad further noted that the university's colleges host a number of international students across various scientific and humanistic disciplines, highlighting the university's provision of comprehensive academic and service support.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Nahla Naji Hilal, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Hamoud Ahmed, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations; and the Head of the “Study in Iraq” Unit. Discussions covered the university’s efforts to facilitate study and residency procedures for international students, as well as strategies to further develop the services provided to them.
As part of the visit, the committee held a direct meeting with several international students currently enrolled at the university. The session allowed for open dialogue in which students shared their perspectives on both academic and living experiences, in addition to highlighting the main challenges they face.
The committee expressed its appreciation for the high level of organization observed at the University of Fallujah, particularly in terms of providing suitable accommodation for international students and the clear dedication of the university administration to ensuring a conducive academic environment.
The “Study in Iraq” program is one of the strategic initiatives launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the goal of enhancing the regional and international presence of Iraqi universities.
