Scientific experience of Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Jabbar Abdel-Karim:
University degrees: - He holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom (2015-2019), where his doctoral thesis focused on thiophene chemistry for organic electronics materials. - He holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Anbar University in Iraq (2009-2012) and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the same university (2006-2009).
Experience and administrative positions: He currently holds the position of Head of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Branch at the College of Medicine at the University of Fallujah. Chairman of the examination committee for the College of Medicine for the academic years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.
Scientific research:
Several research papers were published in scientific journals such as Tetrahedron Letters, Journal of Organic Chemistry, and Tetrahedron, which deals with the manufacture and study of thiophene-derived compounds for use in organic semiconductor materials.
Scientific Memberships: Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) since 2019.
- Member of the Iraqi Chemists Syndicate since 2021.
Patents: Obtained a patent issued by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control in 2023.
Scientific conferences: Participation in many international conferences, including conferences of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom (Britain), to present research on thiophene chemistry and its applications in organic electronics.
Teaching: Teaching organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry to undergraduate students at the University of Fallujah.
Awards: - Winning the award for the best scientific poster participating in the International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Chemistry, held in the conference hall at the University of Nottingham / Britain on 10/1/2017.
