University of Fallujah Receives His Eminence Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim as Part of His Tour in Al-Anbar Province
On the morning of Thursday, May 1, 2025, the President of the University of Fallujah, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, received His Eminence Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim, Head of the National Wisdom Movement, at the University Presidency building, as part of his visit to Al-Anbar Province.
The reception ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nahla Naji Hilal, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, along with several college deans and administrative department directors. They warmly welcomed the visit, affirming its significance as an important step in enhancing the connection between national leadership and academic institutions.
During the meeting, the University President presented a detailed overview of the university’s key achievements, highlighting its academic progress and notable expansion in infrastructure, despite the challenges faced by the province in recent years.
For his part, His Eminence Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim expressed his delight in visiting the university. He praised the security stability and urban renaissance witnessed by the city of Fallujah, as well as the city’s historical and cultural significance and the pioneering role played by the University of Fallujah in serving both society and the educational process.
His Eminence emphasized the crucial role of Iraqi universities in supporting paths of construction and development. He stressed the importance of linking academic research with societal needs and intensifying efforts to address negative phenomena such as drug abuse and family disintegration, through organizing specialized seminars and scientific workshops.
Regarding higher education, Sayyed Al-Hakim called for greater integration among Iraqi universities and encouraged openness to cooperation with international institutions. He also commended the success stories achieved by Iraqi universities, including the University of Fallujah.
He further expressed admiration for the university’s student diversity, noting that it hosts students from 16 Iraqi provinces, and affirmed the importance of integrating artificial intelligence and modern technology in education.
At the conclusion of the visit, the University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, presented an honorary shield to His Eminence Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim, in appreciation for his generous visit and continued support for educational institutions. In return, His Eminence presented a commemorative shield to the University of Fallujah in recognition of its sincere efforts in serving higher education and the community.
