President of the University of Fallujah Attends the Proceedings of the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPlQ) Conference
The President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, participated in the opening proceedings of the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPlQ) Conference, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at Al-Mustaqbal University, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The event was also attended by the Ministry's Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad, along with several presidents of public and private universities, academics, and students.
On the sidelines of his participation in the conference, the President of the University affirmed that the digital transformation project represents a cornerstone in building a modern and advanced educational environment. He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in adopting this ambitious national project and called for expanding its scope to encompass various sectors within university institutions.
The conference, featured a comprehensive technical presentation by the Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, Dr. Ameer Thuwaini. His presentation covered the stages of project implementation, the main challenges encountered, and the opportunities it offers for the advancement of university operations.
The conference also included the distribution of electronic university ID cards to a number of students. The Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs conducted a live demonstration of the card’s functions, showcasing its use in electronic payment and purchasing processes before the attendees.
