University of Fallujah Launches Awareness Campaign on Autism Spectrum Disorder
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, in cooperation with the Department of Media and Government Communication, organized an awareness campaign on Autism Spectrum Disorder under the slogan: "for them we unite". This campaign coincides with the May activities to raise awareness of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
The campaign aimed to increase awareness and enhance societal understanding of autism by providing accurate information about the spectrum, its characteristics, and the needs of individuals affected by it.
The accompanying activities included an inspiring art exhibition featuring expressive artworks presented by a group of students, conveying humanitarian messages in support of individuals with autism.
The campaign also included educational lectures for university students, which addressed the scientific and behavioral aspects of the disorder and explored the most effective ways to positively interact with individuals on the spectrum.
This campaign reflects the University of Fallujah's ongoing commitment to raising awareness of societal issues and fostering a culture of solidarity with individuals with special needs.
