President of the University of Fallujah Participates in the Conference Launching the Digital University ID for Iraqi University Students
On Monday, June 2, 2025, the esteemed President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, participated in the conference launching the electronic university ID, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, several senior officials from the Ministry, presidents of public and private universities, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, and a gathering of university students.
In his address, His Excellency the Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has made a strategic decision to move toward comprehensive digitization of the university environment through the adoption of 120 electronic systems. These systems cover student services, resource management, education, and inquiries, culminating in the implementation of the smart digital university ID. He noted that the launch of the electronic ID marks a pivotal milestone in the path toward digital transformation and smart governance of Iraq’s educational institutions.
His Excellency also supervised the distribution of the electronic IDs to a number of university students, highlighting that this digital achievement reflects Iraq’s commitment to enhancing the internationalization of education, expanding academic partnerships, and elevating the global reputation of Iraqi universities in international rankings.
The conference included introductory remarks and presentations on the digital transformation environment within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as live demonstrations illustrating the mechanisms for using the digital university ID and its benefits for students and institutions alike.
