Department of Media and Public Relations


The Department of Media and Government Communication retains a significant and central position in modern university environments, given the link it creates between the university community and its decision-makers.


The Department of Media and Government Communication is considered one of the most important departments at the University of Fallujah due to its direct connection with the university leadership, academics, administrators, and students, as well as its extensive and close relationships with the public, private, NGOs, and other universities in Iraq.

Mandate

The role of the Department of Media and Government Communication focuses on achieving the following objectives:


- Preserve the public image and identity of the University of Fallujah and acting as a link between its off-campus and on-campus communities.

- Enhance the necessary capacity and efficiency to achieve the university's vision, mission, and strategy.

- Highlighting the university's academic and vital research activities.

 - Shed light on the university's efforts in serving, developing, and nurturing the community, and contributions to   social responsibility.


Department Offices

The Department of Media and Government Communication consists of two offices:

• Media Office

• Public Relations Office



Media Office

  1. Cover and document university activities and events, including but not limited to conferences, seminars, panel discussions, workshops, festivals, ceremonies,  
  2. Publicize all university-related news updates, announcements, directives & guidelines.
  3. Monitor media outlets and the news published therein related to the university, documenting them, and presenting them to officials for consideration.
  4. Prepare and print newsletters, posters, banners, and all types of publications related to events and academic programs organized by the university.
  5. Organize press conferences and meetings for university officials.

Public Relations Office

  1. Introduce the role, mission, and goals of the university to its internal and external audiences.
  2. Draft, finalize and publicize university news events in various media outlets
  3. Manage the university's website on the Internet and on social media platforms.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate the tasks of all satellite channels and other media outlets affiliated with the university to process their media reports.
  5. Extend congratulations and condolences.
  6. Organize, manage, and help implement university-organized conferences, celebrations, and seminars. 
  7. Provide proposals for visual, auditory, and written media activities.
  8. Participate in preparing publicizing newsletters and magazines related to the achievements and events of the university.
